Phoenix as a Symbol During Divorce

A good friend of mine got married and agreed to move to Phoenix with her new husband because his work opportunities were better there than in their hometown. She hated Phoenix from the start due to the big change in the environment and the fact that she had an inordinate amount of trouble making friends and finding a job.

Their marriage quickly turned sour. They’d had problems from the start and those problems were exacerbated by the fact that she was so unhappy in the new location. He wasn’t willing to move and she wasn’t able to get over the fact that she hated it in Phoenix.

Ultimately, they decided to get a divorce in Phoenix. They went with mediation Phoenix methods of divorcing which allow for affordable divorce Phoenix situations that are relatively emotionally easy for both parties.

Although they chose this route, the situation was still difficult for my friend. And that’s when she kind of adopted the mythological Phoenix as her symbol for this period of her life. She determined to find things to like about Phoenix the city by choosing to reinvent herself like the Phoenix rising from the ashes of her failed marriage. The marriage was dissolved but she ultimately ended up staying in Phoenix and making a great life for herself there on her own.
