Credit Cards Are a Problem or a Solution

If you poll any random population you would probably get as many votes for the credit card as against. That is because the benefit of credit cards (tarjetas de credito) depends entirely on how the particular person chose to use them. If someone is given a credit card at age 18 and instantly runs into debt, then they probably won’t think too highly of credit cards. But someone who has steadily built their credit history by paying off their credit card bills on time would think they are a great idea. But for the most part, people like the idea of a free credit card (tarjeta de credito gratis).
If you have been offered one of these cards then it is important that you go over all of the details. It could in fact be a great offer or it could be the exact opposite. You should read all of the fine print and develop a solid understanding of what the free credit card entails. If the card requires you to open bank accounts with a specific branch, then talk to someone at the branch. Always get all of your questions answered before signing across the dotted line. It can also be quite the hassle to transfer your bank accounts (cuentas bancarias) so it is important to make sure it’s the right choice.
