Use Promotional Bags to get a Promotion (Without Being a Suck-Up)

Do you have a stack of promotional bags in the corner of your closet that are going unused? Your office might have given these to you as an inexpensive Christmas gift year after year. You don’t use them because you don’t particularly like them. Plus you feel a little strange being the only person in the office who totes their promotional backpack along with them. But maybe you should start thinking more about using these promotional items to bring some business your way. And you don’t even have to take them to the office with you to do it.
Unlike promotional desk items, logo-embossed bags can be taken out into the general public where they serve a purpose other than promotion. If you have a corporate duffel bag, it can go to the gym with you. If you have a laptop case with a logo, it can be the accessory that always goes to the coffee shop with you. Even the basic tote bag can be used for a purpose like carrying your groceries.
While these items are serving a purpose in your everyday life, they are also going to bring you business. The best way to get new clients is to get talking to them about your work. As people at the gym or the grocery store notice your promotional bag, they’re going to ask you about your business. Have a thirty-second spiel in mind for a response. Follow up with your business card and you could find that you’re on your way to a promotion. And you didn’t even have to brown-nose by bringing the company bag to work with you!
