Tips for Dealers

Dealing in secondhand items — buying and selling things such as jewelry, antiques, and collectibles — can be a truly fun and unique small business venture.  However, there are also certain things you will want to keep in mind before you embark on this type of business.  Here are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Know the going prices of things before purchasing anything for resale.  You will need to buy things at a cheap enough price that your markup can cover your time and expenses.  It might be helpful to carry reference books and price guides with you, or if you have an iPhone, look up items online before making your purchase.  Knowing the current prices of things, such as the current gold for cash opportunities, can prevent you from making mistakes that will cut into your profit.
  • Know where to look for the best deals.  With the price of gas the way it is these days, it is no longer worthwhile for dealers to drive around looking for cheap deals at garage sales and estate sales.  Instead, find sales in the classifieds and call or email ahead to see what they have.  You may also have favorite thrift stores that you know often have good stuff at good prices.
  • Get your merchandise to come to you.  Many people with something to sell don’t want to do the footwork of finding someone who will pay them for it, so by advertising you can get people to come straight to you.  For instance, if you advertise that you offer cash for gold, you will probably get a lot of people contacting you to sell scrap gold.

Like with any business, as a dealer you need to be able to make sure you are making enough money after all your expenses, including your time and the cost of purchasing your merchandise for resale.  Otherwise your business won’t be able to pay your bills, let alone its own!

Pick a New Hobby with Radio Controlled Boats

It is always nice to have a hobby to spend your extra time, especially if you are passionate about something. One hobby that is becoming more and more popular is the hobby of driving remote control vehicles. While there are many vehicles to choose from, the most popular tend to be race cars, radio controlled helicopters and boats.

Navigating radio controlled boats is an exciting hobby that pretty much anyone can pick up. There are boats and RC helicopters available for everyone no matter what their skill level may be. The nice thing about this particular hobby is that you also do not have to invest a lot of money into it in order to get started. You simply have to purchase a car, boat or helicopter that is remote controlled and then start driving.

While many individuals would rather drive their remote controlled vehicles, there are other individuals who take pride in their value. Therefore, instead of racing the cars, helicopters or boats, some people choose to collect them instead. There are so many remote controlled vehicles available, especially when it comes to cars, that it makes them a great collectors item.

Go Buy the New World of Warcraft!

The new “World of Warcraft” game is finally here and, although I don’t work for the company or anything, I’m here to endorse the heck out of it!  I was never really into video games but while working a telemarketing job while in college, I found I had a lot of downtime on my hands.  I started out as a telemarketing consultant for a culinary equipment inside sales company.  Much of my time was spent on the phone with potential customers but after a while I moved to a new department where I worked inside sales outsourcing.  This allowed me more time on my breaks to relax.  Needing something to do during the hour-long lunch break in particular, I discovered the game.  The person who had worked in that cubicle prior to me had downloaded “World of Warcraft” and failed to take it off the computer when they left.

I was about 22 years old at the time I started the inside sales outsourcing position and within just three months I found myself to be kind of an expert at the game.  Needless to say, I have been keeping up with the new versions of the game ever since and have to say this latest edition is the best yet!  If anyone wants to play me we have a weekly online tournament that you are more than welcome to become a part of!

Use The Spray!

I’ve been interested in human growth hormone for a long time and I’ve tried hgh products from several different companies and can say from experience that there is definitely a wide variation in what’s out there.  A consumer really needs to do some homework to make sure you buy human growth hormone from reputable companies.

I tried taking it in pill form first and didn’t think it was doing much, after taking it for a few months. Then I heard about the spray form, which is supposed to be absorbed in the mouth and work more quickly.  I’d say that’s probably an accurate description; at least that was my experience with the spray.  I noticed changes within a couple of weeks.  I felt more alert and energetic, and what’s even better, during allergy season I didn’t suffer as much as I usually do from hay fever.  Usually I have to take a lot of antihistamines, but this year that wasn’t necessary.  I was really surprised by that, since that wasn’t the reason I started using the spray.  But I’m sure not complaining.  I have a twin brother who has the same allergy problems.  He was skeptical when I first told him I was going to try the spray, but after I told him about my allergy symptoms getting so much better, he’s planning to start using the product himself.

Safeguard Your Child’s Health

At school and on the playground, children often encounter a host of viruses and bacteria that can leave them sick and vulnerable.  Even so, parents who practice homeopathic health care may not desire to go the traditional medicinal routes when it comes to immunizing their child against cold and flu.

Instead they would most likely consult with a certified homeopathic pediatrician for tips on how to decrease their child’s chances of catching whatever bug will be floating around school corridors during cold and flu seasons.

If you are such a parent, the first thing you may have to do is invest in a whole house air filter.  These filters are hepa regulated and can purify the air in your entire house, which will cut down on the number of airborne pathogens that cause illness.

The purchase of waterwise distiller may also help stave off cold and flu as they will kill off any unhealthy elements within the city water supply that can cause mass sickness.

That’s all well and good, you think to yourself, but what happens when my child leaves the home?

Well, this is where preventative care comes in.

Homeopathic practitioners advise parents to invest in kits with homeopathic remedies in them. Within these kits you will find vials of fluid that contain echinacea or pure forms of vitamins that will protect your kids from various seasonal ailments.

With due diligence, parents who practice holistic health care can  wage a  war against  the attacks on the immune system that nature produces at certain times of the year.
